ALBUQUERQUE - Today, one of Albuquerque Police Department's most wanted property crime offenders was sentenced to 10 years. Dan Hoffert plead guilty to 15 felonies in the district courtroom of Judge Jacqueline Flores for crimes including auto burglary, stealing cars and resisting arrest.
Hoffert's eight month long crime spree included 11 felony cases in 2016 alone and left nearly 20 people victimized.
"The sentencing of Dan Hoffert is part of a new strategy which focuses resources on targeting these types of chronic repeat offenders who victimize the citizens of Bernalillo County," District Attorney Raúl Torrez said. "We want to send a message that we are committed to identifying and prosecuting these types high impact criminals."
