Beer Pong Homicide Sentencing

ALBUQUERQUE - The second defendant involved in the January 1, 2016 homicide of Joray Chavez and the aggravated battery of Robert McCoy was sentenced to 14 years in prison followed by 2 years of parole in the courtroom of District Judge Brett Loveless on Wednesday, May 17. Luis Delgado pled guilty to aggravated burglary with a firearm enhancement and aggravated battery resulting in great bodily harm for his role in the attack following a game of beer pong. The primary defendant, Nathan Ware was sentenced to 20 years followed by 4 years of supervised probation in November 2016.
